Special interview with spiritual author, Dyan Garris
Today, I am pleased to introduce Dyan Garris to my readers. Many of yoiu may have heard of Dyan from her books and from Voice of the Angels – A Healing Journey Spiritual Cards. (©1993 - 2008)
Below is an interview I had the opportunity to conduct with Dyan. Enjoy.
For many years Dyan Garris has been counseling clients in order to help them move forward in their lives. She is clairvoyant, clairaudient, and clairsentient. In addition, Dyan is also what is known as a voice recognition psychic and trance channel. This means that she can help her clients via telephone, which is how she conducted her readings throughout her career. She retired from private readings in 2005 to focus on building a “spiritual toolbox” filled with tools for spiritual growth and transformation.
She writes the “Daily Channeled Message” and “Dear Dyan” spiritual advice column which post on her website. Her latest book Money and Manifesting teaches why the laws of attraction and the power of positive thinking are not enough for effective manifesting, and exactly what to do about it. She is also the author of The Book of Daily Channeled Messages, Voice of the Angels Cookbook – Talk To Your Food! Intuitive Cooking and Fish Tale of Woe – Lost at Sea.

1. Tell my readers about yourself – where you are from, when did begin on your spiritual path?
I’m originally from Illinois, but now make my home in Arizona and also in Florida. My spiritual journey began when I was four years old and I saw angels in my room. We had a nice chat then and we’ve been talking ever since.
2. In your book Money and Manifesting you have some wonderful tools people can use to create an abundant life. What are some of those tools?
The book itself is a tool actually. It’s designed for automatic energy shift. I did that by incorporating fiction around the information. Information gets processed differently by the psyche than does a fictional story. One is processed on a thinking level and the other is processed on an emotional level. So just reading the book is an exercise in integration by the way it’s designed. And integration is a necessary step in manifesting. These are characters that everyone can relate to and I incorporated into the fiction every thought pattern and perception about money and self-worth that I’ve come across in my years of counseling people. People really think like this. And if someone can see themselves reflected, they then have opportunity for change. Also, wherever someone stops reading is where the energy blocks are. So a person can easily identify what they may need to work on and what is in their way.
3. Let’s talk about manifesting. Share with my readers what that term means to you?
Manifesting is a process. It’s an integrative process in which one first clears an energy pathway basically by eliminating patterns, illusions and perceptions of limitation. Then one simply aligns their will with universal will and begins to co-create. Doesn’t that sound easy? It is.
4. In Money and Manifesting you also share in great detail what gets in the way of many people manifesting what they want. What is it that gets in their way?
There are many things that keep people stuck where they are. A few barriers to manifesting include, patterns, illusions, and belief systems that are based on fear, poverty consciousness, duality consciousness, the concept of karma as punishment, the pattern of entitlement, and believing that there are limitations on the divine right to create.
5. What are your thoughts on the Law of Attraction?
The Law of Attraction is a universal law. It isn’t a secret. It’s been around for years, but never had such wide acceptance as it does now. This needed to filter into collective consciousness as the truth that it is. However, the reason for that is not so that it can be used as a panacea for people to get what they want, but so that it could be implemented as one step in the process of manifesting. By using the Law of Attraction we can certainly attract. However, attracting is not the same thing as manifesting. The Law of Attraction is merely a foundation.
6. Why is it that many people say they want to attract things into their life such as money, health, abundance, etc., and yet, here too, they are blocked?
Saying and doing are two different things. One can have an intention to do something to improve their life, but then they actually have to do something to accomplish that. Also, “attracting” is a function of the mind. That’s what some people don’t understand yet. To manifest, we must engage the energy of all of the chakras. If we understand that the energy of money, for example, resides in the root chakra, one can think positive thoughts about money all day long and that doesn’t necessarily make things happen, particularly if the person has blockages in the root chakra. How can anything get through a clogged pipeline? Then they get discouraged and go back to their old patterns. With Money and Manifesting I’m hoping to teach people how to really manifest without all the empty promises and hype.
7. Do you plan on writing additional books?
I really don’t plan on writing any more books. I’m almost done building what I set out to build. Voice of the Angels – A Healing Journey Spiritual Cards are at the base of the foundation and Money and Manifesting is at the top. It’s a series. It’s a set. These are all tools for integrative healing. I’ve got two more things that go in with the body of work. One is a DVD for Automatic Chakra Balance.™ The other is one final CD vibrating to the chakras that no one even addresses yet. Those are the chakras above the 7th.
